EUROLAB is the European Association for Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies (LBMS) and was founded in 1988 as a sister organization of LIMS, the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in New York, USA.
We see ourselves as an European network for anyone interested in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies or using this material. We are working furthermore on the development, promotion and professional recognition of Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies regarding the aspects of application, research and teaching.
Since 2014 we are in the Nationwide Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the German Commission for UNESCO. Since 2020, we have been part of the application team for Modern Dance in Germany as a UNESCO Intangible World Heritage and have worked therefor on this film.
On the following pages we provide an insight into our work.
